From a crazy idea to an even crazier business. Here's how we started bottling nothing and selling it for a lot.
It All Started With a Deep Breath
In 2019, our founder Meni was hiking in the Austrian Alps when they had an epiphany. Standing at 3,000 meters, lungs full of crisp mountain air, one thought emerged: “What if I could bottle this feeling and sell it to people who don't want to hike?”
Most people would dismiss such a thought as altitude-induced delirium. Meni saw a business opportunity. And a very funny website idea.

Our Process
Every bottle of Meni's Alpine Air is captured using our proprietary “open bottle and close it again” technique. Our trained Air Sommeliers hike to precise altitudes at optimal times (usually when the weather is nice and they feel like it).
The bottles are then transported down the mountain in specially designed backpacks, which are just regular backpacks. We label each bottle by hand because it makes the whole thing feel more artisanal.
